Ziggy and the zoo

Still filling my Green & Stone sketchbook at a snail's pace. This is Ziggy, the cat I had before I got married.

Sheep drawn from a magazine.

A goat drawn from a photo I took at the little farm in the Jardin Botanique.

Again...beautiful work, Felicity! I've been doing illustrative, pen journaling of late but, seeing your amazing drawings, makes me want to dig out my pencils.

I keep wanting to sketch but get hung up with subject matter. I look around me and don't see anything I am interested in spending my time on. At least that's what I'm convincing myself of. And yet you draw all kinds of things and I find them all interesting. This is not a good block I've got - I too have a few sketchbooks lying around in need of filling...and I know from past experience how helpful it is to draw on a regular basis. Just must do it I guess.

Your work is so amazing, I love your stuff!! I think the money is wonderful, how beautiful! I will have to look more closely now at money. My mom brought me back some coins from China years ago, going to have a new look at them!

Thanks Serena - I hope you do!

Sheila, I feel like that pretty much all the time so I just look at what is immediately around me. I'm pretty sure you have tons of fascinating things but if you see it every day it's hard to see how it's of interest to anyone else. Sometimes I post a fairly boring (to me) drawing and I'm really surprised by the feedback - things people in other countries are not familiar with!

Thanks Desiree! Now you say that, I've forgotten what Chinese money looks like and whether we have any left over - I'm going to have to look too! :)

gorgeous drawings, Felicity. Who cares what pace you work at your sketchbook. As long as you keep working on it, is all that matters. draw on!
