Mastermind sketches

Some wonderful faces came up this week. The face of the man at the top here looked as if it was straight out of the 1500's - I thought Holbein would have loved to capture it!

I liked it so much I did a profile too (top). They're not exact likenesses but I quite liked the drawings anyway. The other two faces were fun and just as interesting. I think I'm addicted to this show!

Beautifully done, clean and precise. Love your animals, too!

I love this show too. I've also been sketching the contestents. They make good models as you get a few minutes with each in the same position, which is rare for tv. I've been doing very quick tv sketches recently. Literally a minute on each, just to try and get used to faces as this subject is not my usual thing.

How do you manage to get such detailed sketches, I don't understand? If you see my most recent post on tv sketching - they are basically quick line drawings. that's all I can fit into the time I get with the model. How on earth do you manage to get so much detail packed in to such a small amount of time? Amazing.

Thanks Serena, I really appreciate it.

Thanks so much Pat!

Andrea, it's great for those long, lingering shots, isn't it?! I did some quick sketches when I first started this but now I press pause! Too quick for a slowcoach like me, I was getting stressed! Yours are brilliant!
