Merry Christmas!

In the interests of reducing my carbon footprint - all the rage at the moment! - I'm recycling an old Christmas drawing. No electricity was wasted on this as I didn't -

  • crank up the radiators
  • boil any kettles for tea
  • burn any bulbs or lamps
  • listen to any of my CD's
  • procrastinate on the computer

No trees were cut down to make paper or pencils and I wasn't sitting on my derrière getting fat and unfit, thus becoming a burden to the healthcare system and society in general.

Phew, maybe I should give up altogether and save the planet! Actually, the boring reality is I was struck down with 'flu so even though the spirit was willing, my body was having none of it! In fact, I hope to do more drawing than this year, now I'm done with the navel gazing. It was a bit of a quiet year on the blog and even more reason for me to be grateful that anyone still reads! So thank you very much for visiting and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a very happy, healthy and creative New Year!

lol. You're so silly. Feel better soon! That's no fun.

Felicity, I'm impressed comparing this drawing with the one on your other blog, how you are so good at rendering textures, each drawing has its own so clearly and undoubtedly defined.
Merry Christmas again :)

It still looks as good as it did the first time, Felicity.

Merry Christmas!

Haha, This is a cute and quirky drawing, love it! Our bodies have a way of telling us to stop and take stock, navel-gazing is part of it, we all need to do it sometimes, don't we? Oh and please do get back to using up some more of the world's resources so we can see some more drawings - cheers! ;)

You may have been more quiet on the blog this year, but whenever you did post, it was always worth the wait. Which is why we are still out here reading. You take care and get better soon. And of course, Merry Christmas. Drink lots of eggnog - I'm told it's very medicinal if spiked with brandy and bourbon!

I so hope you're on the mend, Felicity -- I for one have missed your 'footprint' .. so please -- leave those foot tracks for those who love to follow ...! MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS!

I hope you're feeling better now! I remember this darling sketch and it was a delight to see it again. It's really hard to find time to do it all and avoid sitting on our derrières too much, I know all too well. May we find balance in 2010 (or a magic source of extra time!)

I love this drawing! It has real character and texture. I really like the bell on your other blog too for the same reasons. There's nothing wrong with recycling drawings, I hope you're over the flu now!
