I'm sorry. After those lovely, positive, life affirming comments (which confirmed that I'm a very negative thinker!) it's with regret that I post the second, and perhaps last, installment in the life of the brave little twig that fought single-handedly against the onslaught of the urban planners. Joni's song didn't have a happy ending either...Probably why I like her. I bet she hates slushy snow too.

Amen! I could have written everyone of those words.
Oh, how sad!!! Probably some kid snapped it just because he could...
Right along the wall though, there seem to be similar little holes with a darker cement like there was around the little twig?? I wonder if something might pop up there. Or is that wishful thinking and they aren't little holes at all???
DANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aww, man! I was hoping you could do that "Days in the Life of this Cool Little Twig" idea that another poster had recommended! This is a sad day!
Can we have more posts with lines from songs - it's interesting trying to guess what they're about before you arrive!
Thanks everyone! Funny how the little twig has caught everyone's imagination!
Bonny, I was wondering if anyone would notice those! The wall and pavement are new so I think there may well be something planned. They're not holes but there must be some reason for them.

Ahhh all too sad, and yet, lets see what spring brings? Hope springs eternal.
I am so thankful to be living in a rural town. Not a lot of concrete here, thankfully.
Interesting about Stone.
