Friday's life drawing. Recently I've moved away from line drawings and I'm concentrating on light and shade so again just one this week. A few months ago when I joined three hours used to be so long now it seems to fly by. I happened to bring my A3 pad this week as I've felt a bit cramped with the A4. It was fortunate because the pose was quite long and I needed the space for it but I couldn't get it all on the scanner! Her hands and feet weren't too well drawn so that's not a bad thing. I also didn't like the shape of her arm under her head, I could have done with more time to get the shading right and make it look like a bent elbow instead of a blob.
B and 3B pencil.
Life is also getting in the way of drawing. This week I have to concentrate on other things so it may be quiet on the blog for a few days, maybe a week. A bientot!

This is lovely! You have the weight of the model and her lovely lines!
I read your comment over at Jana's and could not agree more. Modern life if totally over stimulated. Good question she posed!
Cara, I SO understand about life getting in the way -- good luck there! Your figure, though, is exquisite ...simply beautiful! As I struggle with values, I can only step back and admire the fantastic way you have with them!
Felicity,
Wow, your illustrations of the human form are so amazing! I looked at your other website and you have such a special way of capturing a child's face without making them look too old or harsh. So glad you stopped by and I promise to post more often :)
Life has been kicking my butt :) But its great to be creative again.
Your drawing, like always is great. I wish I had a place to do some life drawings again. Do you do work on charcoal?
Dex, I haven't tried charcoal in years. Must admit I find it a bit messy. I'm going to try conte pencil and white though. I used to do that a lot and I'd like to give it a go again. (Been inspired by Anthony Ryder!)
You've captured the flow of her body really well, and I like the soft outlined style. Great job!
Wonderful wonderful drawing Felicity!! So smooth and her body just flows.
All of your nude drawings came out nice.
