Only in Switzerland! As it's Sunday today, the shops are closed on what is probably one of the most profitable days of the year elsewhere! So yesterday we hired a car and stocked up. I'm wondering what the Swiss have for Christmas dinner because I haven't seen many turkeys for sale except in the city centre. The few that we did see were enormous and I'm sure ours would feed a party of twenty so I'm seriously considering getting it started today! I feel stuffed just looking at it! Last year, I was looking at the turkeys from Saudi Arabia labelled 'halal slaughtered'. Very tempting. Next year I think I'll start a tradition of eating roast poussin, at least they're prettier!
Posts may be a bit sketchy ('scuse the pun) between now and the new year so I wanted to say a very big thank you for visiting and for the always encouraging and often enlightening comments. Hope you all have a very merry Christmas!

I agree with you about the shops however on the other hand my thaughts go out to all the people working out there without much time left to spend with their family. There is the shift basis etc....it is a long story ....but anyway just felt like sharing my thaught and writing you this. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year!

Hope you had a very Merry Christmas as well. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy visiting your blog! I look forward to another year of wonderful images and engaging thoughts.
Oh Felicity,
I very belated Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year too! We didn't have turkey either this year, but prime rib instead which was amazing! I must find some new smooth sketchbooks to draw in, sadly I am at the end of a favorite one, it's like losing an old friend as I have carried it so long.
Happy New Year Felicity - already looking forward to your 2007 drawings and posts.
Happy New Year to you Felicity! Such a wonderful collection of drawings, photos and observations you've provided us with over the last year. I may not comment a lot, but I have to say here and now, that you provide one of the classiest blogs I've seen. I really really enjoy my visits here. Hope 2007 is full of wonderful things for you and yours and every success in all you do. Hugs.
