Whooooa! I've never seen clouds that look like that. It's like they have fingers reaching down to grab the building. Eerie!
With all those high mountains around you are going to get some really spectacular clouds - these are fantastic! Have you seen The Cloudspotter's Guide?http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0340895896/202-6104931-9875002?v=glance&n=266239The white hibiscus should shine out on really dark stormy days. I too remember the wild fuchsias in Scotland - my favourite one at the moment is Thalia, but it is tender and I have to put the pot in the greenhouse over winter.
Oh my goodness! These really ARE creepy! They look like hands ... shudder ...
wow amazing clouds!!! Hope your move went well!
Ooh these are ominous looking. Hope the storm didn't eventuate into much.
Looks like a normal day here in the S.F. Bay Area. Every day the fog comes in looking just like that (that is if it left--sometimes it just sits here for days on end). Your photos are beautiful! I enjoyed catching up on your blog tonight.
