EDM # 37 Keyring

I checked the wording carefully, it said to draw keys or a keyring so that gave me an excuse to draw this little guy. I knew he was going to be a challenge because he's very light and I hate drawing hair. I didn't know how to get the texture of his fur but I winged it and it was not enjoyable. I know it's supposed to be good to get outside the comfort zone but what if that's uncomfortable?! I just want to have fun with my next one!

I have to add a bit of waffle for each of my challenges so...this keyring is Alex's and it was bought on holiday in Iceland this year. Iceland has sheep the colour of buttermilk and they must surely be the cutest, tiniest sheep in the world!

I think you've done very well on rendering the texture of his fur!

The fur looks good to me, but it was probably a bit tedious. I've found that the hardest thing about doing textures is keeping it consistent throughout. If my hand gets tired or I change technique halfway through, it usually doesn't look as good.

You pulled this off nicely and the fur turned out so well!

He's so cute! And the fur is fine. The perfection anxiety that rides on our backs CAN be released, even if we have to pull its claws out one by one.

Thanks for commenting kindly on my witch. I'm not sure if she's plotting her next spell or wishing she had a different career. I'm content to let her keep her secrets :-)
