EDM # 3 wallets/bags and 13 phone

This is drawn with an HB and B with a little F for the shadow around the wallet. These are Mark's and I chose these because my purse is black and large areas of black make me fuss about getting the shading 'perfect'. I chose his phone because mine doesn't have a cover and I would fuss about getting the buttons right! (I may be fussy but at least I admit it!)

These made me smile as I was drawing them because Mark doesn't switch his mobile on unless he's making a call and he doesn't carry cash because he takes fruit to work for lunch and he has a petrol card if he needs to fill his tank! He also doesn't wear a watch - three things I couldn't go out without!

I'm finding that each of these drawings are presenting me with different challenges even though at first I thought they would all look more or less the same. I must be too used to drawing skin because reflections in particular are difficult, especially on metal. What one sees in a photo or in the flesh doesn't always translate well into a drawing.

Ten down and about twenty six to go!

Felicity, you do such fabulous drawings! They are so realistic I can just about feel them.

Very nice! Good point about the different textures of flesh, leather and metal--a challenge to represent!

Nice drawing! I had to laugh about your post-about being fussy and different from your hubby....funny the things that we realize while we are drawing!

I agree with Pedalpower, isn't it funny what we are fussy about? Very well drawn! You have such good command with pencils and your textures are working out great! I notice that I avoid going into great detail in my own drawings, I'm fussy too. Time to get off my duff...thanks for the inspiration!
